It looks like TxDOT is going to be very busy in Henderson County this week. Here is a rundown of scheduled projects, according to the agency:
– TxDOT Maintenance is performing overlay operations on SH 198 near FM 316 this week. A second crew is repairing base failures on FM 316 going north between US 175 and FM 1861. Expect lane closures with flaggers providing traffic control.
– TxDOT contractor, Striping Technology, Inc., will have a crew adding striping on FM 2709 Henderson County as part of the district-wide safety project to add centerline rumble strips. Expect lane closures.
– Work continues on the SH 31 repair project that calls for milling the existing surface and placing a new overlay on the roadway. It should be completed in three months. Expect daytime lane closures. .09 miles west of FM 317 eastward to .34 miles west of FM 773.
– Cardinal Drive at Little Duncan Creek in Murchison is closed to through traffic while a new bridge is constructed. The project is expected to be completed in August 2015.
– The US 175 Widening project will expand U.S. 175 from two lanes to a four-lane divided roadway with a depressed median. Construction of this Phase I project started April 6, 2015 and should be completed in November 2018. 0.1 miles southeast of FM 804 near Baxter southeast to 1.1 miles east of Loop 60E at Larue.
Is there any news at all about the bridge on 317 at Fish & Game??
I spoke to TxDOT about this a couple of weeks ago. TxDOT is looking at it, but there is no date on it yet. It will probably be closed for a while.
