Two Arrested for Drugs, Warrants

At approximately 11:34 p.m. on Wednseday, Feb. 18, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Jeromey Rose was at the intersection of Highway 334 and Highway 274 near Cedar Creek Lake area of Henderson County. Sergeant Rose observed a vehicle travelling south bound on Highway 274 that only had one headlight illuminated. Sergeant Rose identified the driver as Elizabeth Ware and the passenger to be Lornell Johnson Jr. Sergeant Rose discovered that Johnson had two active arrest warrants out of Tool PD and placed him into custody. While conducting the traffic stop Sergeant Rose began searching the vehicle, and located a glass pipe used for smoking cocaine as well as cocaine inside of a Marlboro cellophane wrapper. Ware was also placed into custody for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1G. Ware and Johnson were transported to the Henderson County Jail. Ware was later booked in for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1 Gram a State Jail Felony and Johnson was booked in for the two outstanding warrants out of Tool PD being Failure to Appear/Bail Jumping a Class C Misdemeanor and Driving While License Invalid a Class C Misdemeanor.
