Trinity Valley Electric Coop spokesman Jeff Jordan released the following statement this morning:
The TVEC Athens office was heavily damaged early this morning from severe storms and heavy wind. A large portion of the roof was blown off so they are having to scramble to get roofers Glasgow in to repair the roof and prevent further water damage to the building. The inside of the building suffered major water damage.
The Athens office will be closed while cleanup and repairs are underway. At this time we have no estimate of how long that will be. The Gun Barrel, Kaufman and Wills Point offices remain open.
