Trinity Valley Community College, partnered with the University of Texas at Tyler and Tyler Junior College, are hosting EdCamp East Texas. Edcamps are free, organic, participant-driven, un-conferences that empower educators to maximize professional learning experiences and peer networks.
The event will focus on giving educators the opportunity to discuss relevant topics related to Teaching and Technology. All educators, K-12 and Higher Education, in the East Texas region are invited to register and bring ideas, create networks, and join discussions. EdCamp East Texas will be held March 9 in the TVCC Auditorium at 8:30 a.m.
The mission of the Edcamp Foundation, headquartered in Conshohoken, PA, is to build and support communities of empowered educators. Embracing the belief that fellow educators can be some of the most valuable professional development resources for their colleagues, the Edcamp movement has been recognized by countless organizations, including the United States Department of Education, the Bammy Awards for Education, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the TEDx program and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
