Using a three-point shooting barrage, the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals stayed unbeaten Saturday night with a 105-80 win against Southwestern Christian College at Cardinal Gym.
Fourth-year coach Kris Baumann’s Cardinals went 2-0 in the two-day Super 8 Classic. The 11th-ranked Cardinals were an 82-80 winner Friday night against Dodge City Community College.
Against SW Christian, the Cardinals hit 13-of-25 three-pointers, led by six from freshman Brandon Holley, who led the way with 25 points. Sophomore Josh Robinson had four three-pointers in a 16-point performance.
Also scoring in double figures were J.C. Washington with 14, Hyron Edwards 12 and Melvin Swift 10.
The Cardinals led 52-34 at the half.
Next up for the Cardinals is the Lewis Orr Classic at Navarro College this week. Thursday, the Cardinals play Temple at 5 p.m. They play McLennan at 5 p.m. Friday.
