Press release

Trinity Valley Community College will begin a new Pharmacy Technician Program in the 2018 fall semester that will prepare students for a variety of jobs in various types of pharmacies. The program will be the first of its kind in east Texas. Students who complete the program will graduate with a Level 1 Certificate and be prepared to take the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE). Students will apply through a competitive application process with applications being due by June 1, 2018.

Prerequisite classes, offered in the Spring 8-Wk II semester and the Summer I semester, may be taken as high school dual credit or as college entry courses. Prospective students should plan to attend an informational session schedule for Wednesday, March 7, at 4 p.m. in the Ginger Murchison Learning Resource Center on the Athens campus. Class size will be capped at 15, so students should enroll early. An appointment can also be scheduled with the Program Director if you can’t make an information session.

For more information or an application packet, please contact the advising office at TVCC or the Continuing and Workforce Education department at TVCC, 903-675-6212 or 903-675-6350 or [email protected].
