Starting college can be stressful – so let Trinity Valley Community College give you a head start on the road to success.
Registration is open now for Cardinal Pride Freshman Orientation, which will be offered on three dates: Saturday, July 12 (must be registered by July 9); Saturday, July 26 (register by July 23); and Saturday, August 9 (register by August 6).
Freshman orientation offers information to make the transition from high school to college a little easier. Students will be able to register for fall semester classes and learn important facts about the college, as well as the many activities and services TVCC offers. If participants have pre-registered for fall classes, they will have the opportunity to meet with a college success coach as well as with other incoming freshman.
Families are encouraged to attend orientation. Sessions will focus on money management, Cardinal Connection, campus security and tips for helping students be successful. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet with local dignitaries from Athens, ask questions, learn more about the local area and take a tour of the campus.
The student fee to attend is $35, and family members who wish to attend are required to pay a $10 fee. This fee includes a meal and all program fees and materials. The student fee must be paid through the registration process. Families may also pay during the same process or on the day of attendance. There will be no refunds within five business days of the scheduled orientation update.
