April is Child Abuse Awareness and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and Tuesday saw the annual proclamations read at the courthouse.
The event also includes the annual display of the Clothesline Project, 179 t-shirts made by abuse survivors or their families.
We will be posting about these issues throughout the month, but we thought a good way to start was by showing you the Clothesline Project. When you watch, each color of t-shirt represents a different kind of abuse.
The ones to watch for are the white ones: those represent someone who died in Henderson County from abuse.
