Press release
Looking for something to do this Friday night? Don’t miss the second show of the Texan Summer Concert Series this Friday, July 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Athens Brewing Co. This Friday’s show will open with local favorite, Meredith Crawford, while the main act is a talented husband/wife acoustic folk/americana duo based out of Waco called The Union Revival.
“I am very excited about this performance!” said Cultural Resources Coordinator, Adrianna Hinds. “The first show of The Texan Summer Concert Series in June was a great success. Thank you to everyone who came out! We hope to see you again this Friday night at The Athens Brewing Co. for another great performance!”
In an effort to promote the opening of The Texan later this year and give citizens a taste of what’s to come at The Texan, The City of Athens is sponsoring this exciting three-show event. All shows for this series are free to the public and seating is first come, first served.
Grab your friends and family and come out for this family friendly show! You’ll be glad you did.
Looking ahead, save the date for Saturday, August 12, for a mini festival downtown to close out The Texan Summer Concert Series. Music will begin at 6 p.m. with performances by the following area, regional, and national acts: Senor Gringo, Wandering Daisy, Folk Family Revival and The Docs. More information to come!
