Athens High School sophomore Kristin House is having a very good livestock show. The Athens FFA members won reserve grand champion yearling Tuesday, took first place in two English riding classes (her first time to compete in either), first place in both clover leaf and flying W barrel racing, first place in western horsemanship, second place in the flag race — and that was before Tuesday’s events were over. House is shown here on her quarter horse, Penny. “She’s laid back,” said House. “But then she goes out there and gets the job done.”
