Summer is a very challenging time for gardeners in East Texas, which is why some people benefit from sheds with porches. With soaring temperatures and the yearly possibility of drought, gardeners need to know which plants are tough enough to take our extreme weather conditions and long summer days. Just because a plant is labeled for Zone 8 does not always mean it can grow in East Texas.
Watering, planting, and weeding during this time of the year becomes an art necessary to master. There are certain times of the day and certain times of the year which are best for certain chores. Gent will give you specific tips for gardening in East Texas. Come hear this fascinating presentation and make your garden thrive, not just survive, this summer.
