State Rep. Stuart Spitzer, M.D. has received his committee assignments and is pleased to have been chosen as a member of both the County Affairs and Human Services committee.
“I am excited with these committee assignments,” said Spitzer. “I requested County Affairs and was placed on it. I represent Henderson and Kaufman Counties and the affairs of those counties are important to me and the State of Texas. I was also placed on Human Services. It is a good fit for me as a physician. I have spoken with the Chair of Human Services, Richard Pena Raymond, and he is excited to have a physician on the committee.”
Monday, February 9, is the first hearing of the Human Services committee, where Spitzer and his fellow committee members will be tackling issues such as supervising nursing homes, foster care, school lunch, and many other issues.
