The Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake (HSCCL) has accepted the resignation of Krista McAnally, Shelter Executive Director for the past seven years, and is reorganizing to better suit the needs of the community.
“Krista ensured the survival of the shelter for many years and we appreciate her service,” said Donny Shubert, HSCCL president. “During 2014, we will reorganize in order to move forward with more efficient processes and make better use of our staff and our volunteers. We must also right size our animal population to match the capabilities of our facility.”
Debra Dukes will serve as interim Shelter Manager, responsible for the day to day care of the animals and management of the staff, with hands-on assistance from board members. Dukes has been employed at HSCCL since 2009 and has extensive knowledge of animal shelter operations. The search for a new Executive Director will begin shortly.
Shubert also noted the naming of Andy Jacobson to Vice-President of the HSCCL. Jacobson is a six sigma black belt expert employed by AT&T Corporation. “Andy brings a wealth of experience in process improvement techniques that is invaluable as we move forward,” said Shubert.
