Chris Abadie, Shredtown Are Gold Medalists

Abadie

Congratulations to Athens own Chris Abadie and Shredtown, ESPN X-Games Real Wake Gold Medalists.

The following was posted Monday on the Shredtown.com Facebook page:

When we are putting in 12 hour days in the streets and sewers and nothing is going as planned there are so many times we question if we are doing the right thing and following the right path in life. Today all the those questions are answered and we feel humbled to take away the first ever @xgames #realwake gold medal. @chris_abadie charged some of the sketchiest spots in the game with @andrewadams behind the lens and @davisgriffin running the winch throughout this project. Couldn’t have done it without @patrickwieland flying out to Texas just for the love to log clips and contribute to the vision that we all have for the sport. And thanks to everyone up at @alliancewake for putting in the work behind the scenes to make this contest a reality and contributing to the sport of wakeboarding throughout the years!

Thoughtful, caring, God loving, and strong are only a few of the qualities that Malakoff Band Director Chad Bentley and his wife, Malakoff Theatre teacher Jessica, possess. They are now opening their arms to take in a child through adoption and need help with the expenses.

Chad Bentley posted on Facebook:

Good morning Facebook friends, seven years ago today was a very beautiful and special day in my life. I made the best decision of my life to start a family with my lovely wife Jess and our son Sonny. I couldn’t be happier even if I had another lifetime to choose a bride and son.

Today, seven years later, we have reached another milestone in our life together. After being open to children our entire marriage and going through surgeries, treatments, medicines, and doctors to seek an end to our infertility issues, we have placed it all in God’s loving hands. Through prayer and acceptance of God’s divine Will we have decided to adopt a child to bring into our family. We wait with open arms for this baby to come into our life, and ask for your continued prayers and if you find it in your hearts, please take a look at our charity page, forward it to friends, and help in any way you see fit.

Jess and I know that we have the best friends this world can offer and we thank you for any and all help you can offer. God bless you and we love you all!
