Founded in 1982, Blue Ribbon Schools is a U.S. Department of Education program that recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students perform at very high levels.

“National Blue Ribbon recognition for these campuses is well deserved and reflects the hard work of teachers and students in our communities,” said Commissioner of Education Michael Williams. “It is also indicative of the strong education efforts taking place in classrooms throughout our state.” Continue reading “Malakoff Elementary named Blue Ribbon school”
