Clint Davis has announced his intentions to seek re-election to a third term in office as Henderson County’s, County Attorney.

“In my seven years as County Attorney, I have been constantly reminded that Henderson County is a community of great people. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your County Attorney. In serving the citizens of this County, I have had the good fortune to serve with a group of great staff and county employees, and have done my best to work cooperatively with all of the elected officials in Henderson County. It has been a privilege to work alongside so many fine employees and other elected officials,” he said.

Hornet Theatre Company opens with ‘Blithe Spirit’

The Hornet Theatre Company’s production of “Blithe Spirit” opens this Saturday. General admission is $8, $4 for students. Enjoy the classic farce with family and friends. Show dates and times are Saturday, Oct. 10 at 2:30 & 7:30; Sunday, Oct. 11 at 2:30; and Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 7:30. The last performance is pay-what-you-can. AISD employees get in for free at any show with ID. Donations, of course, are always welcomed.

Traffic stop leads to meth arrest

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Henderson County Deputies Meagan Hogan and Sgt. Bryan Tower stopped a vehicle with expired registration traveling on Enchanted Oaks Drive. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was identified as John Albert Pittman III. A search of Pittman’s vehicle yielded two glass pipes containing suspected methamphetamine residue. TVCC Show Team brings home awards from Tulsa

The Trinity Valley Community College’s Beef Cattle Show Team brought home several awards in the Open Charolais division at the Tulsa State Fair Livestock Show, held Oct. 3 in Tulsa, Okla. The team won first place in two group classes, Breeder’s Herd and Group of Five Head, and TVCC MS DAWN 1403P, shown by Jacklyn Hart of Athens, won the Reserve Female Division Champion award.
