Press release

An Athens man is headed back to prison after pleading guilty on Tuesday to Possession of a Controlled Substance. Phillip Deljuan Conner, 35, was sentenced to 15 years in prison by Judge Carter Tarrance of the 392nd Judicial District Court.

Conner was arrested on April 2, 2015 when deputies from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office were attempting to arrest a different individual on an arrest warrant from Dallas County for an unrelated case. A music video by Athens residents Sloane and Felix Lenz is getting some love in the New York City blog for The Deli, a magazine devoted to emerging NYC bands and visual artists.

The video is for the single “Old Winds” from Brooklyn singer/songwriter Carrie Ashley Hill’s upcoming album “Orion, Low in the Sky.”

The Deli praises the video for its “inventive, shape-shifting visuals.”

This is not the first time Sloane and Felix — the Lenz Twinz — have made noise in the art world. Earlier this year, the pair were featured in the Austin blog Timbre.

The Lenz Twinz run music, style and culture blog ALLUMER.

They are the son and daughter of Athens residents Catherine and Michael Lenz.
