Funeral services for Virginia “Honey” Dalrymple 83 of Trinidad, TX are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Providence Baptist Church, Tool. Bro. Steven Palmer will officiate the service. Interment will be in King Cemetery.
Ms. Dalrymple passed away on Saturday, May 9 in Trinidad.
Virginia was born April 9, 1932 in Tool to Tommie Herman and Allie Mae Mullins. She grew up in the Too area and started school at the Flagg Lake School. Her class was the last class to attend Flagg Lake. She received her high school ring from Malakoff where she attended after Flagg Lake closed, but she transferred to Kemp and graduated high school there. She worked with Curtis Mathes for 15 years and Northern Telecom for 20 years.
Everyone who knew her called her “Honey.” She loved her family and was the heart of the family. She was the glue that held the family together.
Honey is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Walton Dalrymple, parents, Tommie and Allie Mullins, son, Clyde Walton Dalrymple II, brothers Veral Mullins, Ted Mullins, and sister Betty Jo Colvin.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Barton and husband Johnny of Kemp, TX, son Billy Don and wife Selena of Aley, TX, daughter-in-law Sandy Dalrymple of Malakoff, TX, brothers Earl Mullins and Ned Mullins. Her legacy lives on with ten grandchildren, Crystal Barton, Jason and Kristi Dalrymple, Alicia and Carlos Castro, Marta Dalrymple and Troy Engeldow, Billy Dalrymple, Larry and Mandy Dalrymple, Clint Dalrymple, Bobbi Jo and Dustin Loosier, Daniel and Devon Higgons, and Dana Higgons, twenty-one grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons.
The family would like to thank Bobbi Jo Loosier for your love and care in helping with Honey.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 11 from 6-8 PM at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points.
