Services for Terry Woodruff Cole, 78 of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2014 in First Christian Church with Rev. Kern Railsback and Dr. Dann Masters officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Cole passed away August 14, 2014 in Tyler.
She was born November 22, 1935 in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late Theodore and Ola Frances Webster Reynolds. Following graduation from Tonkawa High School in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Terry attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College where she was elected cheerleader. Mrs. Cole moved to Athens in 1964 and with her former husband Monty Woodruff was assistant manager of Christian Youth Foundation for 20 years. Terry earned an associate degree at Henderson County Junior College in 1978. She formerly worked at Gould Insurance 10 years and served as director of continuing education at Trinity Valley Community College ten years. Terry was an active member of First Christian Church 50 years and served in many capacities including Deacon, Elder, Worship Leader, Sanctuary Choir Member and Master Chef.
She was preceded in death by her brother Jack Reynolds, August 10, 2014.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years Leonard Cole, Athens; son Monty J. Woodruff, Mansfield; daughters Kim Woodruff Farmer and husband Wade, Kyle, Krista Woodruff Masters and husband Dann, Willard, Missouri; stepsons Jeffrey Cole, Kaufman, Greg Murrah, Wiley, Kevin Cole, Fordsville, Kentucky; brother Dustin Free, Katy; sister Pamela Baltz, Alva, Oklahoma, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Monty Woodruff, Wade Farmer, Jeffrey Cole, Austin Woodruff, Adam Masters and David Westfall.
Honorary pallbearer will be Gabriel Torres.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
