Obituary: Randy Crawford

Funeral services for Randy Crawford, 65, of Bullard will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens with Bro. Mike Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery.

Mr. Crawford passed away June 3, 2018 in Tyler, Texas.

Melvin Randy Crawford was born March 3, 1953 in Athens, Texas the son of Johnny Wesley Crawford and Rosie Lea Morris Crawford. He began working at Kelley-Springfield in 1971 and retired from Goodyear after nearly 37 years in 2007. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking, hunting and was known as a thrifty man who bargain shopped for his entire family. Pa was a devout family man who loved spending time with them, especially his grandbabies. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all he knew and loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John “Leland” Wesley Crawford, two sisters, Dorothy Reid, Eloise Hilton and one grandchild, Lexie Crawford.

Survivors include his children, Tracy Gonzales and husband Miguel of Jacksonville, Brandon Crawford and wife Janet of Athens, Natalie Mitchell and Blake Rambin of Tyler, two step children, Lindsey Hill and Lou Coffey and Jeremy Yielding; two brothers, Delbert Crawford and wife Terri of LaRue, Royce Crawford of LaRue and sister, Jaquin Pearce and husband Randy of LaRue; grandchildren; Trey Wilson and wife Brittany, Trent Gonzales, Madison Soultanova, Caelan Soultanov, Hannah Gonzales, Paxton Nicodemus, Lucas Nicodemus, Justin Crawford, Samantha Nicodemus, Brianna Crawford, Whitney Mitchell, Luke Mitchell, Avery Rambin, Dylan Rambin, great grandchildren; Hadley Wilson, Hendrix “Hank” Mitchell and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Hope Cancer Center of East Texas.
