Funeral services for Pamela Tolbert Kidd 54, who was a resident of Traskwood, Arkansas, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kidd passed away December 6, 2017 in Arkansas.
She was born August 14, 1963 in Franklin, LA to the late JT and Dorothy Price Tolbert. She attended West End Academy in Franklin, La. and lived there until 1978. She graduated from Athens High School in 1981 and attended Henderson County Junior College while she resided in Athens and then moved to Arkansas where she attended the College of the Ouachitas. She was a certified PTCB. She married Jerry Kidd on January 16, 1982. She and Jerry were baptized together prior to their marriage and shared 36 years together. They were blessed with a daughter Calyn, born on October 12, 1990. She and Jerry attended Robbins Road/ Eastern Hills Church of Christ in Athens and she was employed at Drug Sav and Eckerd Drugs prior to their move to Arkansas where they made their home in Traskwood. Lately she had been visiting Northside Church of Christ in Benton, Arkansas. Pamela was employed as a Pharmacy Tech for 35 years, working for Smith Caldwell in Benton, AR, and Walmart Pharmacy in Malvern, AR. Pamela enjoyed crocheting and gave her creations as gifts. She loved her family very much and enjoyed visiting with them as much as possible. She was a good mom, sister, and aunt to the people she loved. She loved anything with elephants on them. Her favorite singer was George Strait but she also enjoyed the Eagles. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. As she used to say “you may all go to hell, but as for me I’m going to Texas.”
She was preceded in death by her parents JT Tolbert and Dorothy Tolbert as well as paternal and maternal grandparents.
Survivors include her husband: Jerry; daughter: Calyn; brother: Pat Tolbert and wife Brenda; and niece: Mendy.
Pallbearers will be Britt Price, Scott Price, Casey Price, Donny Lewis, Nathan Davis and Pat Tolbert.
