Mrs. Spivey passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Tyler.

She was born September 24, 1928 in Vernon to Clyde and Willie Grace Gideon Terrell. Nadine attended LaPoynor schools and was a graduate of Comanche High School. She attended Isabell’s Beauty School in Dallas and began working in Tyler at Myer & Schmidt Beauty Salon. From there she worked for years at Ralph Barrows in downtown Tyler. In 1974 she was employed by Fenton’s Beauty Salon. She was a dedicated employee and loved her work and her clients very much. After nearly sixty years of working she retired at age 83, not because she wanted to but from a broken wrist. She outlived many of her clients. The clients she still had have said wonderful things about who she was as a person. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of Leagueville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John and Freeman Terrell, son Eugene Spivey and a great-granddaughter Alaina Spivey.

Survivors include her son Mike Spivey of Tyler; daughter Fran Sealy of Chandler and husband Ray; brothers Coy Terrell and wife Frances of Athens, Rex Terrell and wife Linda of Frankston; sister Carolyn Douglas and husband Bill of Poynor; grandsons David Michael Spivey of Tyler and Chad Ellis of Chandler; granddaughters Brandie Fite of West Texas and Meshia Powell of Brownsboro; great-grandchildren Tanner Powell of Brownsboro, Madelyn Ellis and Meadow Ellis both of Chandler, Josh Roman and Matthew Roman, both of Tyler.

A visitation for family and friends will be 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Hospice of East Texas for the wonderful care that was given to their Mother.
