Lois Harris, 77, of Malakoff passed away on May 22, 2013 in Athens. Lois was born Oct. 20, 1935 to Ancil Marion and Beaulah Irene Morrison.
Lois was a lifetime resident in the Malakoff area. She was very active in the community. She wrapped her life and love around her children and grandchildren. She had many little sayings that she loved to tell to show her love such as “I love you little, I love you big, I love you like a little pig.” She was always present at school functions cheering them on in all their activities. Lois loved to travel and never met a stranger.
Lois is leaves a beautiful legacy of those who are survived by her children, Reba Nichols, Janet and husband Bubba Fitts, Leonard “Len” Harris, Alisha and husband Kevin Harris; brother, June Webster Morrison; grandchildren Kasey Jamison, Kelsey Wyatt, Monica Beavers, Joshua McClintock, Deborah Ann Brown, Kimberley Fitts, Matthew Harris, Mallory Harris, Bryson Baker, Justin Harris; great-grandsons, Rowdy, Ryder, Loden, Rustin, Luke, Hunter, Fisher; nieces, Fay Nell Willingham, Joye Campbell, Kim Bogue, Kari Busby; and nephew Brett Morrison.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Roy Harris Sr.; parents, Ancil and Beaulah Morrison; brother, Densal Edwin Morrison; and grandson Jeramy Chad Nichols.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff.
The service will be held at The Church at Crescent Heights formerly known as Crescent Heights Baptist Church in the Crescent Heights Community on Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Malakoff Cemetery.
