Funeral services for Jo Gartside, 89 of Montgomery, formerly of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Fondren officiating. Burial will follow in Becks Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Gartside went to be with the Lord July 19, 2015 in Conroe.
She was born August 25, 1925 in Terrell to J.O. “Pat” and Ruby Mae Moon Palmer. She married Craig Gartside in Anderson County July 5, 1945. She was a cheerful, generous, loving wife, mother, granny and friend. Jo loved working her three acre garden. She was a wonderful seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed being with her family.
Survivors include her daughters Lyn Lorenzana of El Salvador, Jan Clark and husband Tom of Montgomery; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
