Funeral services for Jesse Price, 89 of Montalba are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Springfield United Methodist Church, Montalba with
Bro. Glen Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Anderson County.
Mr. Price passed away July 26, 2015 in Athens.
He was born May 27, 1926 in Anderson County to Asa and Lila Rocella Carlisle Price. Jesse had been a lifelong resident of the Springfield Community. He was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had been a member of the Woodsman of the World since he was 17 years of age. Jesse served in the United States Army and was a Purple Heart recipient.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 55 years Lorene Price, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his son Terry Price and wife Sharon of Longview; daughters Anita Alexander and husband Ronny of Athens, Marilyn Kidd and husband Ray of Montalba; grandchildren Tiffany Partain of Gilmer, Russell Price of Longmont, Colorado, Lisa Johnson of Athens, Tommy Alexander of Athens, Jennifer Bright of Montalba and Courtney King of Athens; great grandchildren Aubrey Partain, Abigayle Partain, Cade Alexander, Dakota Johnson, Christian Hilton, Charity Meadows, Garrett Bright, Jacob King, Britney King; sister Alma Nave of Austin; brother Virnis Price of Waco and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Russell Price, Ronnie Price, Tommy Alexander, V. R. Price, Dakota Johnson, Garrett Bright.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daryl Johnson, Christopher Partain, Chad King.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
