Graveside Services for Frances Wilcox, 77, of Brownsboro are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Carroll Springs Cemetery near Athens with Pastor Terry Thomison officiating.
Mrs. Wilcox went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Chandler.
Frances Sleeta Wilcox was born July 20, 1935 in Malakoff, the daughter of Willie Jackson Baker and Lillie Rose Giles Baker. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Brownsboro and took pride in being a true woman of God. Her two true loves were reading her Bible and spending time with her family. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and will be greatly missed by all those she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; two granddaughters and one great-grandson.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Darvin Wilcox; son, Dewayne Wilcox of Athens; son and daughter-in-law, L.D. and Catherine Wilcox of Brownsboro; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and John Moore of Brownsboro, brother and sister-in-law, Andrew “Slim” and LaVon Baker of Arp; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
