Memorial services for Cindy Bullock, 60, of Malakoff are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Living for the Brand Cowboy Church in Athens with Bro. Dale Perry officiating and will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bullock went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Dallas.
Cynthia Denise Arthus Bullock was born November 20, 1956 in Athens, Texas the daughter of Edwin L. Arthus and Dorothy Cox Arthus. She retired from the Independent School District after 27 years of teaching. Cindy loved teaching English to her Junior High students, was a true inspiration to all she touched as evidenced by being named Teacher of the Year. She was a dedicated member of the Living for the Brand Cowboy Church and her hobbies included photography and collecting antiques. Cindy and Charlie spent countless hours traveling all over looking for those special pieces and made an annual trip to the Sanctuary of Chimayo where he originally proposed to her. C-Ma was a loving wife and mother but her special love was her grandchildren with whom she spent countless hours loving and nurturing. She will be greatly missed by all she knew.
She was preceded in death by her father Edwin Arthus and her sister Pamela Patterson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years Charlie Bullock of Malakoff; two adoring children, Kelley Silva and husband Fred of Frisco, Josh Haney and wife Kendra of Malakoff; her mother Dorothy Arthus of Malakoff; brother Eddie Arthus and wife Jeri of Canton and five grandchildren, Maddox Silva, Kinley Silva, Braylee’Ona Haney, Kaeslyn Haney and Jase Haney.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Cindy Bullock Grandchildren Fund at First State Bank in Malakoff or a charity of your choice. They also asked that if you must send flowers please send potted plants.
