Melvin Swift was apparently not a member of the Trinity Valley Community College basketball team when he was shot and killed in Houston Tuesday night.
TVCC Director of Communications Marlo Bitter confirmed last night that Swift was released from the team at some point this season, saying he “was not on the roster leading up to the holiday break.”
Bitter did not know why Swift was removed from the team nor if he was eligible to return to the roster.
There have been no new details released regarding the circumstances surrounding Swift’s shooting death Tuesday. You can read our original post here.
