Bianca McGee has joined the women’s basketball coaching staff at Trinity Valley Community College.
McGee will serve as a coaching assistant, third-year head coach Gerald Ewing announced Tuesday. She replaces Spencer Robertson, who left in May to become an assistant coach at Prairie View A&M University.
“We are excited to have Bianca join the Lady Cards,” Ewing said. “She played in this league and will be a great asset to our program.”
McGee began her coaching career the last two seasons at Ranger College. She finished the 2015-16 season at interim head coach.
McGee is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she starred for two seasons for the Lady Hilltoppers. She is the sixth-leading scorer among two-year players at WKU.
As a senior, McGee helped the Lady Hilltoppers to the Sun Belt Conference championship in 2014.
Prior to WKU, McGee played two years at Kilgore College, averaging 12.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game as a sophomore for the Lady Rangers. She served as a team captain and was twice named all-conference.
At Michigan City High School, McGee was a four-year letter winner and earned all-state honors for three years. She set a school record for career three-pointers and scored more than 1,000 career points, averaging 20.1 pointers for her career.
Curious as to her background — where she played and where she’s coached…
