Unlike the state of New Jersey, where people are able to get a medical marijuana card from somewhere like here on NuggMD, possession of Marijuana for medical or recreational use in the state of Texas, if found guilty is punishable by a confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days and a fine not to exceed $2,000 or both a fine and confinement. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia if found guilty is punishable by a fine up to $500.
