On April 6, Investigator Cayce Hampton with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office investigated an alleged case of child abuse. The reported victim, a 13-year-old white male, made an outcry of physical abuse. Investigator Hampton was assisted in her investigation by Child Protective Services and the Henderson County Help Center.
On April 7, Hampton presented to the Henderson County Court at Law Judge Scott Williams an arrest affidavit, at which time the judge found probable cause existed for Cliff Bowden’s arrest. Williams issued an arrest warrant for Bowden.
Bowden surrendered himself to the Sheriff’s Office and Deputy Kyle Pochobradsky executed the arrest warrant. Bowden was arraigned by Justice of the Peace 1 Randy Daniel and given a $50,000 bond.
The offense of Injury to Child with Intent to Cause Bodily Injury is a Third Degree Felony in the state of Texas and is punishable for up to 2 to 10 years prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
