During the month of November, the Malakoff High School Student Council had a fundraiser for the Cedar Creek Lake Humane Society and the Food Pantry. The students were able to purchase feathers for a teacher or an administrator and the teacher and administrator with the most feathers on their turkey had to kiss a pig in front of the school. They raised almost $300 for the Cedar Creek Humane Society, and donated over 100 cans of food for the Food Pantry in Malakoff. Jamie Driskell, Belinda Merritt, and Laurie Boze won the opportunity to kiss the pig. (Courtesy photo)
