Malakoff second grader Brant Cookston, 7, placed third in the semifinals for the Mini Bronc World Championship held Aug. 7 at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, CO.
Back in May, Brant won multiple buckles at the Lonestar High School Rodeo Finals.
Brant has now advanced to the World Mini Bronc Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada Dec. 4-6, to be held during the National Finals Rodeo.
