The Lone Star Antique Tractor & Engine club is having its spring tractor ride on May 9 from Brownsboro to Murchison. The club has a spring and fall ride each year, and this year has chosen Henderson County.

The tractors are from 1930s to 1960s and will be traveling about 12 miles and hour across the county roads visiting the Blackjack Community, City of Murchison, Barton’s Chapel, Callender Lake, and Brownsboro.

The club would like to invite everyone to come and see the tractors and to be watching for them on the highways.

The tractors will be leaving Brownsboro Athletic Field at 10 a.m. and traveling FM 607 to County Roads 3612, 3620, FM 1803, stopping at the Mt. Zion Church in Blackjack for about 30 minutes around 11 a.m. then County Roads 3704, 3700, and 3623 to Murchison for lunch at Chick’s from noon to 1 p.m., where the tractors will be on display in parking lot. The ride will continue on County Roads 3807 3806,3507 to Callender Lake Store stop for about 15 to 20 minutes, then to County Roads 3520, 3513, 3514, and return to athletic field about 3:30 to 4 p.m.

  1. Always a great time with our friends. Come out and have a good time. Invite spectators to come out and watch as they go by, and wave to show support for these great machines that help feed the country.

  2. If anyone would like to join in on the ride, you are more then welcome. Your tractor needs to be in the year range of 1930 and 1960 able to travel at a speed of 12 miles and hour, have a slow moving sign, and must have EDGETA insurance.
