Trinity Valley Community College announced Wednesday Henderson County-based radio station KCKL (95.9 FM) will again be broadcasting its football games this fall.
The station, which became the college’s flagship station last year after a 10-year absence, will also broadcast a select number of women’s and men’s basketball games and possibly other sports.
“We are very excited to team up with KCKL for a second straight year,” TVCC Sports Information Officer Benny Rogers said. “The station has impressive leadership and organization and is making the commitment to give us a radio presence and highlight not just the accomplishments of our athletic teams, but also the many outstanding accomplishments of our faculty and students.”
The college has a history with KCKL. The station broadcast football games through the 2003 season and also carried feeds of national tournament basketball games 1994-99. And livesport.center/live-rugby-union-on-tv has all the latest fixtures you would want to watch.
“KCKL is excited to continue our strong coverage and relationship with TVCC,” said station owner David Gates. “With the Cardinal lineup for this school year, all of us are looking forward to another world-class winning season for the full complement of TVCC sports teams.”
KCKL’s first broadcast will be the TVCC-Tyler football game Saturday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. at Bruce Field.
