Georgi Lichtenberg, 12, a green belt at the Athens Karate School, attended the Texas X State Karate Championships in Bedford, Texas on Saturday, Sept. 20, and won First Place (State Champion in her division) in kata (forms) competition and 2nd place in weapons forms competition. Georgi is the daughter of Dr Byron and Tamara Lichtenberg of Athens.
