Press release
The Gun Barrel City Masonic Youth Rainbow Girls inducted two new members into their Assembly on Saturday, December 2. The new members are Katelyn Maxwell and Olivia Ocanas. Parents and grandparents were in attendance at the induction ceremonies.
The girls were also given the opportunity to honor Miss Hunter Nodwell, Grand Worthy Advisor, their girl leader on the state level, at their meeting on December 2. The Rainbow Girls performed a Tinker Bell and Peter Pan-themed honor program. Afterward, the girls and their guests dined on a lunch of mini croissant sandwiches of chicken salad and tuna salad, chips, veggie tray, tea, sherbet punch, and a cake specially decorated for Miss Nodwell’s visit.
The next day, the Gun Barrel City Rainbow Girls attended a Christmas Honor Tea at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. There was beautiful live Christmas music and delicious refreshments to be enjoyed while honoring the state officers and recognizing the top Poinsettia sellers. Selling the flowers is an annual project for the Area III Rainbow Girls. The Poinsettias decorate the Scottish Rite Hospital for the holidays, and proceeds from the sales are donated to the Hospital.
