Last week, four more individuals were caught and charged with illegal dumping in Henderson County. Ladonna Harned of Malakoff was caught dumping on CR 1220, James White of Eustace was caught dumping on CR 1408, Casey Kirklin of Mesquite was caught dumping on Esquire Estates Road and Caitlin Orcutt of Athens was caught dumping on CR 1500.
“People continue to think they can dump their trash in our county without consequences,” said Fire Marshal Shane Renberg. “We have stepped up our enforcement on this issue and will continue to charge those responsible. We expect as the burn ban continues, people who normally burn their trash will look for other ways to dispose of it, but we want to make sure they do it legally. We get numerous complaints from citizens about this issue and people are watching for us.”
