A National Weather Service Flash Flood Watch is in effect in Henderson County until 1 a.m. Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service, rainfall amounts will average 3 to 6 inches across the watch area, which covers portions of North Central and North East Texas, with a potential for locally higher amounts.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding. You should monitor the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued for the area.
I pay ABSOLUTELY NO ATTENTION to your consistently over sensationalized inaccurate forecast. The weather forecast is a joke.
I’m just not seeing it. They called for rain starting at 8 am this morning. And haven’t really even gotten a sprinkle here in Crossroads. And I’ve been in Wills Point to Tyler, Athens and Crossroads. The weather radar shows everything is going to be east, north east of us. Unless it’s coming from the Gulf and isn’t showing on the radar yet, I don’t think we’re going to get anything more than clouds and cooler weather.
