The Henderson County Fire Marshal’s Office issued a high fire warning on its Facebook page this afternoon.
The warning read:
“We are in a high fire danger this week. We advise to hold off on burning at this time if at all possible. The current fuel load and winds make it very dangerous to burn. If you must burn, please keep in mind that you must be present with your fire at all times and have a water source nearby. You are responsible for any fire you start if it gets out of control, accidental or not. Anyone leaving a fire unattended at any time will be issued a citation. We want everyone to remain safe and properties to be protected.”
Henderson County is not currently under a burn ban.
