A get-together to remember Danny Hampel will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Tool Elementary School, 1201 S. Tool Drive (State Hwy 274), in Tool, Texas. The event will be casual – come and go – with no formal program. We invite all who have known Danny over the years to come and share your stories – and we know there are many. Please use parking and entrance in the rear or the facility.
The Dairy Queens in Kemp and Seven Points will be closed at 2 p.m. to allow employees and customers to attend the gathering but will re-open afterwards.
Danny’s unwavering love of animals was the catalyst for his involvement with the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Danny’s name to benefit the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake. It is hoped that an Animal Transport Van could be purchased with this fund which would facilitate the transport of foster animals and save the lives of our furry friends.
