By Eustace Police Chief Kenneth Holder
Last Thursday night at the Eustace City Council meeting, the Eustace Police Department conducted an awards ceremony. These awards were commendations regarding the volunteer work at little Karter Whittenberg’s Make a Wish parade and reveal party. These officers put in a lot of work on their own time to help make this event a success for little Karter and it shows the true civic spirit of our officers and the Highway Patrolmen who assisted as well from our region!
Sgt. Jason Perrini was awarded the Civic Achievement Medal, since he has previously earned the Community Service Medal.
Officer Larry Colvin was awarded the Civic Achievement Medal, since he also has been previously awarded the Community Service Medal.
Officer Court Sutton was awarded the Communty Service Medal.
Officer Estela Perales was awarded the Community Service Medal.
Sgt. Brian Hemati, Trooper Joe Gomez, Trooper Joshua Jenkins, Trooper Mitzi Storey, Trooper Jacob Lutz, and Trooper Bubba Martin were all presented with Community Service Commendations for their assistance in the parade for Karter’s Make a Wish Foundation Reveal party as well.
I am honored to serve with these upstanding police officers, their action reflect the finest traditions of true public servants and they are rarely recognized for the many selfless acts they perform in our community…and more importantly, their actions earned the smile of a terminally ill child!
