The East Texas Crisis Center is thinking about Christmas and asking for a little help from the community.
The Crisis Center is asking for donations of gift cards and toys for the children they serve this Christmas.
“We want our clients’ children to still have a Christmas despite the circumstances going on at that time,” said Outreach Coordinator Carla Gandy. “I want to make sure they still have a little normalcy in their lives.”
The Crisis Center is gladly accepting unwrapped toys for ages 0 to 18; gift cards for older kids; gifts for moms and their kids; and food boxes with no perishable items.
Donations may be dropped off at the East Texas Crisis Center at 310 S. Carroll Street in Athens or call 903-675-2137.
