A delegation from Dayton ISD, near Houston, made a trip to Athens Wednesday to meet with Athens ISD district and campus leaders. Dayton ISD is preparing to reconfigure their elementary campuses and sought guidance from Athens on the best steps to take for a successful transition. “Anytime we have the opportunity to collaborate or offer another school district the benefit of our experience, we’re happy to do so,” said Assistant Superintendent Dr. Janie Sims.
