Jacque Vaughn, who is a new member of the Sarah Maples Chapter of DAR, has taken on a big project. She is going to make a lap quilt for all the veterans in local nursing homes. Everyone in the Sarah Maples Chapter wants to give back as best they can to their communities and this is Jacque’s way to do that. It is a big project. There are currently 44 veterans in seven nursing homes. Jacque says she hopes she lives long enough to do the job. She has already finished one and it is just beautiful.
