The Sarah Maples Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met at the Library at Cedar Creek Lake to welcome their speaker, Debra Heathman. Her topic was “USA Flag History Etiquette,” and she drove all the way from San Marcos for the meeting. Debra is currently serving as CoChair for the Flag of the United States of America and ViceChair of Pages on the state level here in Texas. As a junior member of DAR, she is also serving as Chapter Regent for the Sarah Cockrell Chapter in the Dallas area, as well as holding numerous chapter committee chairmanships. Along with her DAR duties, she is currently serving as the Senior Leader for the Conservation Committee for the Texas Society Children of the American Revolution.
