Julia Harris participated at UIL Academic State Meet in prose interpretation and persuasive speaking at UIL State. She missed making the top six by one place in both events. She finished in 7th place in both events. Although, as a freshman, she is honored to be among the top 12 in the State. There were approximately 330 student that competed in 2A in persuasive speaking at the district level; 310 students in 2A in prose at the district level. She is now eligible for a TILF scholarship as a State participant; which she will apply for her senior year. (From the Cross Roads ISD Facebook page)
