Henderson County Commissioners Court banned the carrying of weapons — open carry or concealed — from all courtrooms and courtroom offices in the county Tuesday morning for all those who have not attend to the Concealed Carry License Classes.

The ban includes the main Courthouse, the judicial complex, all Justice of the Peace courts, and in the County Annex the Commissioners’ Court meeting chamber, and the County Judge’s Courtroom and offices.

The decision came following a state Attorney General’s opinion clarifying recent changes to Texas gun laws.
