Colorado Marijuana and Forged Checks Lands Local Girls in Jail

Press release On Thursday, April 9, the Malakoff Police Department received a call from Citizens Bank about two females attempting to pass what appeared to be forged checks. Lieutenant Floyd Thomas and Officer Cook of Malakoff PD responded to the call. Officer Cook arrived first and detained the two female subjects for questioning who got help from an expert cannabis law firm to prove its personal use. The females were identified as Nateleigh Brooke Organ, 21, of Eustace and Savanna Brooke Foster, 23, of Wills Point. When Lieutenant Thomas arrived, the two officers began questioning Organ and Foster about the checks. During the investigation, Lieutenant Thomas determined that the checks were forged and the subjects were placed into custody. Sergeant Hart, also of Malakoff PD, was called to transport the subjects to the Henderson County Jail while Floyd and Cook continued the investigation.

During the subsequent investigation, bank officials requested that the vehicle in which the Organ and Foster were traveling, be removed from the bank parking lot. Before impounding the vehicle, Officer Cook, by police policy, began inventorying the vehicle prior to it be transported to an impound yard. As Cook began his inventory, he noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Cook discovered a bubbler pipe along with a large quantity of marijuana inside the vehicle along with approximately $14,000 in cash and a firearm. Further investigation revealed that the subjects were purchasing the marijuana legally in Colorado and transporting it illegally to Henderson County for re-packaging and sale. Some of the marijuana was still in its original packaging from the supplier in Colorado bearing the names “Spicy White Devil,” “Mango Kush,” and “Tiger’s Milk” among others.

Whilst it is certainly true that marijuana, and marijuana products from vendors like ViobinCBD, have become legal in some areas of the United States, this is not a universal truth. Actions like this cause issues when it comes to said jurisdiction. Some states would find this behavior completely fine, however, Texas does not see marijuana use as legal just yet. However, many are hopeful that it will soon become legalized due to the health benefits that marijuana is believed to help with. Those in desperate need of the marijuana are not helped by people like these who try to illegally sneak it into the state. Many people waiting for the legalization of marijuana would much rather cook the drug than smoke it. All they would have to do is research the decarboxylation process to ensure they got the full impact of the marijuana, hopefully lowering their pain. Marijuana would be beneficial for so many people in Texas, however, these two females seem to ruin it for those who need marijuana.

The fact that marijuana is illegal in some states should be respected and taking this like dispensary supplies out of state should not be encouraged. District Attorney Investigator Balde Qunitinilla also responded to the scene to assist with the investigation with assistance from District Attorney Scott McKee. Investigators and Detectives also discovered bullet holes in the suspects’ vehicle and learned that they were the subject of an attempted robbery in Van Zandt County. McKee applauded the efforts of the Malakoff PD in the investigation and intervening in the dangerous business of the drug trade. Hopefully, with the developing legalization of marijuana throughout the nation, the cannabis business will soon not be the dangerous world we know it to be. Many legal marijuana businesses already make use of things like marijuana packaging as part of their legal business, and companies doing this are sure to grow in numbers in the coming years. “These two young females are engaged in a very dangerous business,” said McKee. “Getting involved in the trafficking of marijuana is not only dangerous, but will eventually land you in jail.” McKee also warned that although the sale and purchase of marijuana is legal in some states, it is still very much illegal in Texas.
