Mrs. Evans also announced that she will be stepping down after leading the organization for many years. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working on our fundraisers which has primarily included Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Air Show (“TOCCL”) and I am grateful for all the support I have received over the years” Mrs. Evans stated.
Mrs. Evans also announced that Lyn Thomas has been elected as the President of CCVF and she and the new board are already hard at work preparing for the 2019 TOCCL Air Show which is scheduled for July 6. 2019. “I am grateful that Lyn has stepped in to lead the CCVF and I will be there to support her as she transitions into this new role.”
Mrs. Thomas has been a long-time resident of Pinnacle Club; her dad was a Veteran and Pilot and she has been an air show supporter since the first time Randy Ball flew his MiG-17 over the lake in 2004. She is also a CASA advocate and has worked with other veteran organizations and has helped organize many community events.
Lyn Thomas, stated, “CCVF will forever be indebted to Patty and the previous CCVF Board of Directors and Officers for their tireless work and enthusiasm that made CCVF and TOCCL the tremendous success it is today.”
Mrs. Thomas stated that “We are working on some exciting air show acts to supplement the great acts that have performed in the past. Randy Ball and his Russian MiGs are scheduled again and we are exploring other options including military aircraft”.
Mrs. Thomas stated “We are so thankful for the incredible generosity of the Pinnacle Club residents and the Cedar Creek Lake community for their past support of CCVF. We hope you will consider a year-end donation to help us secure air show performers for the 2019 TOCCL Air Show and ensure that we can continue support for local veterans. We can’t do it without your support!”
